“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate.” Jung
I am a lifelong student of human consciousness.
In seeking answers, I travelled widely and engaged in several careers; I have worked in earth stewardship, environmental activism, indigenous rights and questions of indigeneity, sustainability, women's rights and domestic issues, feminist initiatives and the science of consciousness: human and otherwise.
I have lectured extensively on cultural mythology, comparative religion, the occult sciences, the Pagan traditions, witchcraft and the history of the Goddess religions both at a local level (including Continuing Studies at Royal Roads) and throughout several venues in the UK including courses on the Celtic traditions at the Findhorn community in Scotland and as a guest lecturer in Wales on the Arthurian legends and the Grail Cycle.
The quest continues. I'm currently engaged in a writing project entitled The Books of Love: The Unknown Story of Jesus and the Magdalene. This has led to an intensive study of 1st century Judeo-Christian politics, the rise of Western orthodoxy and its consequences for humanity and for the planet.
I am at your service.

A note from Sorcha:
As a cultural historian it is my observation that our understanding of history is often more influenced by emotional narrative than by actual facts. The topic of the Great Goddess is a case in point. Arguably one of the greatest and far reaching cultural/spiritual/ideological shifts for humanity across the last 7000 years Her abandonment and vilification came to symbolize and embody a complete reversal of humanity's relationship to itself and to its Mother planet. That reversal still reverberates through our lives to this day and, quite rightly, rouses powerful feelings and profound social reactions. Yet in many instances people don't understand how it happened, they just feel strongly about it. In this failure to look at the specifics we possibly lose the capacity to analyze and accurately determine why it happened. It is the intention of this lecture to take a look at the ebb and flow of the events that brought about the displacement of this ancient worldview and to consider how the underlying reasons for this are still manipulating society as we know it today.
